Having the surface characteristic of both lipophilic and hydrophobic makes it non wettable with water but easily wet with oil; a characteristic found in few bolt carrier group coatings. This technology produces excellent tribological properties that make it very suitable in environments with extreme contact pressure and sliding actions.
